Major Chemistry in Forensic Science

2025/2026, Second-cycle studies, Full-time studies

Celem kształcenia studentów na kierunku Chemia w Kryminalistyce jest przekazanie wiedzy z zakresu zastosowań chemii w kryminalistyce i kryminologii, w tym zagadnień analizy śladowej, analizy sądowej, analizy chemicznej próbek dowodowych, zagadnień prawnych. Po ukończeniu studiów absolwenci są specjalistami z zakresu analizy chemicznej, w tym analizy śladowej, tak istotnej w badaniach kryminalistycznych. Absolwenci posiadają także umiejętności oceny zjawisk społecznych związanych z zagrożeniami kryminalnymi, rozumieją mechanizmy popełniania czynów zabronionych, umieją wyjaśnić zjawisko przestępczości. Studia na kierunku Chemia w Kryminalistyce są realizowane z wykorzystaniem nowoczesnych metod kształcenia PBL (ang. Problem Based Learning) umożliwiając studentom rozwiązywanie realnych problemów oraz rozwój umiejętności miękkich, pracę w grupie. Absolwenci mają możliwość zatrudnienia w przemyśle chemicznym, farmaceutycznym czy szkolnictwie, firmach biotechnologicznych, laboratoriach kryminalistycznych Policji, konsorcjach typu “biocentrum” oraz wyższych uczelniach, czy instytutach badawczych w kraju i za granicą.
