Materials and Technologies for Automotive Industry
Celem kształcenia na kierunku Tworzywa i Technologie Motoryzacyjne, prowadzonym na Wydziale Odlewnictwa, jest przygotowanie inżynierów o umiejętnościach posługiwania się wiedzą z dyscyplin podstawowych, metalurgii, przetwórstwa metali i stopów, nauki o materiałach i tworzywach odlewniczych, technologii formy, techniki cieplnej, informatyki, podstaw automatyki, maszynoznawstwa, projektowania, zarządzania produkcją, symulowania procesów odlewniczych w działalności inżynierskiej indywidualnej i zespołowej w warunkach produkcji przemysłowej związanej z branżą motoryzacyjną w zakładach produkcyjnych, laboratoriach zaplecza badawczego zakładów, jednostkach projektowych i doradczych oraz innych jednostkach gospodarczych i administracyjnych, w których wymagana jest wiedza techniczna. Dotychczasowe doświadczenie pokazuje, że absolwenci Wydziału Odlewnictwa AGH są dobrze przygotowani do wymagań współczesnego odlewnictwa i świetnie sobie radzą z projektowaniem i wprowadzaniem nowoczesnych technologii oraz kierowaniem produkcją odlewniczą.
Absolwenci mogą kontynuować kształcenie na studiach II stopnia. Na rynku krajowym, na którym działa około 400 odlewni oraz na rynku UE, gdzie funkcjonuje około 5.000 odlewni, istnieje olbrzymie zapotrzebowanie na inżynierów o profilu odlewniczym. Z dotychczasowej analizy karier zawodowych wynika, iż większość (~ 80%) absolwentów Wydziału Odlewnictwa znajduje pracę w zawodzie już w pierwszym roku po zakończeniu studiów.
