Major Chemistry of Building Materials

2020/2021, First-cycle (engineer) programme, Full-time studies

Celem kształcenia na kierunku Chemia Budowlana jest przygotowanie absolwentów do projektowania materiałów budowlanych o szerokim zakresie właściwości użytkowych wchodzących w zakres tzw. “chemii budowlanej”. Student kończący studia I stopnia na kierunku Chemia Budowlana ma pełną świadomość roli poszczególnych kierunków technologii materiałowych w obszarze ich projektowania, wytwarzania, użytkowania i utylizacji, ich wpływu na środowisko oraz rozwój społeczno-gospodarczy kraju. W tym kontekście rola absolwenta kierunku Chemia Budowlana jako specjalisty w dziedzinie materiałów budowlanych jest szczególnie istotna. Wiąże się to z faktem masowości produkcji materiałów budowlanych i ich roli w gospodarce, jak również środowisku naturalnym. Dodatkowo dynamiczny rozwój branży materiałów budowlanych związany z postępem techniki oraz rosnącymi wymaganiami środowiskowymi stawia przez branżą nowe wyzwania i tworzy zapotrzebowanie na specjalistów w tej dziedzinie. Typowym miejscem pracy absolwenta są przedsiębiorstwa zajmujące się produkcją suchych mieszanek na bazie spoiw mineralnych i organicznych, jak również w firmach działających w obszarze domieszek do betonów, zapraw i zaczynów. Absolwenci studiów I stopnia mają możliwość kontynuować i poszerzać swoją wiedzę wybierając jeden z kierunków studiów II stopnia realizowanych na Wydziale Inżynierii Materiałowej i Ceramiki.
