Renewable Energy and Energy Management

The major of Renewable Energy and Energy Management along with the diploma tracks Energy Economics, Policy and Management (EPiZE), Renewable Energy Technologies (TEO) and Sustainable Energy Systems (SES) belong to the area of technical studies. The aim of the studies is to provide detailed knowledge necessary to pursue the profession of Master of Engineering in Renewable Energy and Energy Management. By selecting individual diploma tracks, the graduate will have advanced knowledge in the following areas: heating and cooling systems, biomass systems, solar energy systems, hybrid systems as well as energy control, intelligent buildings, planning the development and operation of the national power system, energy markets or social aspects of renewable energy and rational energy use. An important element of the diploma program is close cooperation with industry and conducting research in the field of renewable energy and integration of renewable energy sources into the national power system. 

Graduates of this course will have the knowledge and skills needed to take up employment in companies dealing with the operation of energy systems, as well as in companies related to the extraction, processing, transmission, trade, and distribution of energy. In addition, the knowledge gained during the studies will allow graduates to solve problems related to energy, in particular, renewable energy, as well as the problems occurring in the field of responsibility of local government units (municipalities, districts, provinces) and government institutions (energy policy).
