Mining Engineering
Kierunek studiów Inżynieria Górnicza należy do obszaru kształcenia w zakresie nauk technicznych, w dyscyplinie inżynieria środowiska, górnictwo i energetyka. Kierunek jest powiązany z takimi kierunkami studiów, jak: górnictwo i energetyka, budownictwo, gospodarka surowcowa, geologia i prospekcja złóż, geologia inżynierska, inżynieria i ochrona środowiska, informatyka stosowana, chemia. Absolwent jest przygotowany do samodzielnego rozwiązywania złożonych, interdyscyplinarnych zagadnień inżynierskich, zna język obcy, charakteryzuje się wysokim stopniem komunikatywności, kompetencji oraz inwencją twórczą, posiada umiejętności menedżerskie w aspekcie współpracy i kierowania zespołami ludzkimi w poczuciu pełnej odpowiedzialności za podejmowane decyzje o zróżnicowanej skali ryzyka. Absolwenci mogą podjąć pracę w polskich i zagranicznych zakładach górniczych, przedsiębiorstwach zajmujących się wykonywaniem podziemnych obiektów inżynierskich w tym tuneli, przedsiębiorstwach zajmujących się usługami dla potrzeb górnictwa, biurach projektowych, stacjach ratownictwa górniczego, przedsiębiorstwach geologicznych i budownictwa geotechnicznego, organach nadzoru górniczego, firmach realizujących usługi dla potrzeb górnictwa, strukturach nadrzędnych kopalń, biurach projektujących zakłady przeróbki surowców, układy technologiczne czy też urządzenia. Absolwenci są przygotowani również do kontynuowania kształcenia na III stopniu studiów (doktoranckich).
